Shoes made using indigo-dyed kimono fabric and gibier leather "Blue Soul" represent a new form of fashion that merges natural wisdom with tradition, symbolizing the cycle of life.
These sneakers feature antibacterial and deodorizing properties of the indigo dye and incorporate leather from deer culled as part of an animal damage control program, promoting resource efficiency and ethical fashion.
They symbolize a future where nature and humanity coexist, weaving a sustainable future through evolving design.Features

Concept
Create a parasol, an essential item for stylish men and women from the Meiji to Taisho era, by combining the Edo Komon fabric dyed in Edo purple, a traditional Tokyo textile, with another traditional craft, Edo Kiriko glass.
Features
- Uses Edo Komon fabric dyed in Edo purple for the canopy.The handle and the tips of the ribs are adorned with droplet-shaped or spherical decorations made of purple Edo Kiriko glass.
- The fabric is coated to block UV light for use as a parasol.

- I think we must do what we can to protect our precious Earth. So, I created this work, thinking of practicing sustainability joyfully with those around me.

While working with my great-grandmother’s fabrics, the trimmed parts caught my eye.
These discarded scraps resembled petals, inspiring the idea to create flowers.Features
- When I bring home flowers, I feel my posture straighten and my feet lighten. I want people to feel that excitement when they go out by using something functional, like a bag. I hope that someone's everyday life becomes more vibrant by adorning it with flowers.

By remaking a bouquet bag, which is uncommon in Japan, using kimono fabric, the Hanata Bag becomes a sustainable way for bouquets to become part of fashion.Features

- I used flamboyant colors, leveraging the structure of kimono fabric.

- This ear cuff was designed thinking of an old kimono that you don't wear anymore but cannot bring yourself to throw it out.
- By incorporating a motif of plum blossom using the tsumami-zaiku craft, the design allows to continue enjoying cherished memories.
- The twisting shape of pearls and gold is inspired by the pearl tree from "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter."
- It aims to create an accessory that is both impactful and practical.

Design that incorporates the fine materials, traditional patterns, and seasonal beauty of kimonos into contemporary fashion items.Features
- Designed to revive the tsuba (edge guard) of a Japanese sword as a modern accessory. The handle is styled to evoke the image of a Japanese sword.
- Focuses on creating an art-piece-like handbag. The obi is edged with leather for durability and crafted to create a sense of weight.
- Anticipating that an older obi would have many unusable parts, it is designed like in panels.
- Screws are attached to the bottom for stability to give the handbag a luxurious feel.
